This conference will provide a workshop and keynote speaker to address the prevalence of suicide, prevention, and interventions that can be taken before one commits suicide. Professionals will gain an understanding of effective interventions in working with suicidal ideations, grief and recovery, and other types of behaviors as well as analyze current research, and develop practical tools to address these behaviors with clients.

Mark Lundholm has “been there” and lived to tell about it. Rebounding in 1988 from the shadow of addiction, lining on the street, Lundholm soon began his career and meteoric rise as one of the funniest comedians to appear on the scene. He began working in correctional facilities, expanding his venue to drug addiction rehab treatment centers, where he has made thousands of appearances. Lundholm will be at his best His credits include a Showtime Comedy Special, Comedy Central, and Addicted . . . a comedy of substance – Zagat’s most highly recommended off-Broadway show!

Gary Echt will identify the risk factors associated with suicide and alcohol and drug use. He will facilitate a “Survivor Panel Discussion”. You will gain insight and understanding of what it’s like to be a family member or friend “Left Behind” after a loved one commits suicide.

Dr. Nora McNamara (M.D.) is a highly regarded specialist in the Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, University Hospitals. She is a versatile physician who not only works with children and teenagers who suffer from psychological disorders but also participates in cutting-edge research to find effective treatments and cures for those disorders.  Dr. McNamara will speak about dual-diagnosis in adolescents and the need for treatment to prevent suicide.

Tim's House Inc. is publishing a cookbook, as a fundraiser!
